Lovely Art Deco style Papyrus flower dangle earrings.
These earrings were made using a vintage die from the early 1900's. The die was originally hand carved and used to make jewelry in the Egyptian revival period. It's been brought back to life to create modern jewelry.
The process to create the impression is to press sterling silver into the die several times until you get the impression you want. I then hand saw the flower out.
I then add a handmade ear wire and a Ruby bead ad give the silver a light patina to show the pattern.
The earrings are about 2" (47mm) from the very top of the ear wire to the bottom of the Ruby. The flower itself is 1/2" x 1/2" (15mm x 15mm).
Beautiful earrings, very delicate and lovely stones. Arrived very fast, and wonderfully packaged. I almost wanted to give these as gifts, as the package was so beautiful! Lovely detail all around
