The classic Egyptian scarab ring in sterling silver.
This ring was made using two separate vintage jewelry dies. It is not cast. The silver is pressed into a form to create the shape. It takes multiple heatings and pressings of the silver to get the final piece. The dies were created using vintage hubs from the early 1900s. What's old is new again!
The scarab beetle is about 5/8" long and 1/2" wide (27mm x 12mm). It's solid sterling silver.
The shank, which was a separate die, has a classic Art Deco look to it.
