Lovely Winged Scarab pendant in solid sterling silver.
I made this pendant using a vintage jewelry die by pressing silver into a reverse image. It takes several passes of pressing and sawing to get all the details in the silver. The die is from the early 1900's, most likely during the Egyptian revival period after King Tut's tomb was discovered in 1922.
After pressing the scarab, I combined it with silver backing that has hieroglyphs style images on it.
I then did a hand stamps scalloped border and a slight hammered coin edge to the pendant.
The pendant is about 2" long (50mm) by 3/4" high (20mm).
It comes on an 18" silver cable chain with a lapis Lazuli charm bead and a lobster clasp.
