This little beetle is made by placing tiny chips of polymer clay, that I made by hand, to create the image. I use a blade and tweezers and place them one at a time. All of the chips are handmade by myself, they are not manufactured. There are around 300 chips in this piece.
In ancient Egypt, this beetle was associated with the early morning sun, Kehpri whose name was written with the scarab. It was believed to roll the disk of the morning sun over the eastern horizon at daybreak.
The pendant is about 1" in size and comes on an 18" chain with a lobster clasp.
