Art Nouveau fruit tree made using a vintage die form.
This lovely tree is made from sterling silver using a method of jewelry making that was popular at the turn of the 1900's. It is not cast, but pressed into a steel mold. It takes several rounds of heating up the silver and pressing to get the deep impression. The tree image is a from a modern die that was created using the original master hub that was hand carved over 100 years ago!
The tree has knotted roots that form the frame along with some lovely round fruit. The back side has a leaf pattern that was created from a separate piece of silver that was roller printed onto the metal. It's a nice thick piece of sterling silver.
The pendant is about 1.25" x 1.25" (32mm x 28mm)
The chain is 18" long and has a lobster clasp. There is a green stone charm to help your fingers find the clasp.
