AAA gem quality Chrysoprase that really is the crazy green color in the pictures. It glows!
This ring was created using a vintage Shreve & Co die that was hand carved about 100 years ago. Shreve is a well know jeweler from San Francisco. You can see a picture of the die in the listing.
Sterling silver is pressed and sawed out of the die in several passes. It is not a cast piece. Each pressing reveals more detail of the flowing leaves that go up the shank to surround the setting.
The Chrysoprase is 12mm x 8mm and is 6.29 carats in weight with a nice high dome.
The bezel setting surrounding the stone is a solid 18K gold and is hand rolled nice and thick, not a thin commercial setting.
