Stunning specimen of Black Tourmaline!
This is a rare piece of natural surface black tourmaline from Brazil. The surface is hundreds of tiny crystals all piled on top of each other.
I created a sterling silver setting for the stone with a hatched hammer texture to match the stone. It was given a little patina to show the pattern and darken the whole piece a little.
The necklace can be worn at 18" and 20" with a handmade hook and eye closure with a black pearl charm.
The stone itself is 1-3/16" or 30mm across and a whopping 33.65 carats.
